City Council approves RRI Stadium Project RFP criteria

City Council approved the Request for Proposals (RFP) criteria for the Stadium Project during its meeting on Monday, July 8. The RFP will be issued to the three shortlisted proponents on Tuesday, July 16.

The three proponents will develop their proposals to design, build, construct and provide interim financing of the stadium.

The successful proponent will be selected and announced in early 2014.

“This is a key milestone for the Regina Revitalization Initiative as this criteria is what the evaluation team will use to select the right partner for us to deliver a world-class stadium and entertainment venue for our community,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “Rightly, our city and province will be very proud of this community facility.”

The team evaluating the proposals consists of members of City Administration, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Evraz Place and Stadium Project Advisors (Project Managers, Architect/Engineer Advisors, Finance/Business Advisors).

The new $278-million stadium will be completed in 2017.
